Best Practice Review – 2000

In October 2000, the findings were presented at the SARSCENE Workshop in Laval, Quebec. During the summer of 2000, the NSS analyzed 14 NIF-funded projects, using the best practice elements. To be eligible, projects had to be completed and their deliverables forwarded to the NSS for review. Each project’s rating was dependent on the number of criteria met as follows:

Project Rating Number of Best Practice Elements
Excellent
14 – 12
Very Satisfactory
11 – 9
Satisfactory
8 – 6
Unsatisfactory
5 – 3
Poor
< 2

The main criteria for project selection were that they had to be completed and deliverables, such as videos, brochures, CD’s, etc… had to be recorded by the NSS. After evaluating the NIF projects, the following four projects were selected as the “winners”.

Project 1

Project 2

Project 3

Project 4
